Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert is getting to be a familiar name on the CFAC Hypocrisy Watch. Today, he hits the list again for following mega-hypocrite Michele Bachmann in her anti-Muslim witch hunt. CFAC has launched its first Christian Change Campaign with a call for Bachmann’s censure by the U.S. House of Representatives.

Americans of all faiths, races and ethnic backgrounds mourned together after Friday’s senseless movie theater massacre in Aurora, CO. But some far right Christian leaders misused the tragedy as an opportunity to spread fear and division in the name of Jesus.

A Texas Congressman said hours after the movie theater shootings in Aurora, Colorado that the massacre was a result of “ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian beliefs.”

Christians for a Change continues to highlight two leading Members of Congress today who spearheaded House and Senate legislation to make dangerous funding cuts to the federal government’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Using bits and pieces of Leviticus 20:13 and Romans 1:26-1:28 as source materials, MS State Representative Andy Gipson used his Facebook page to denounce the President’s support for gay marriage. But he didn’t stop there.

A recent sermon shows Maiden, NC pastor Charles L. Whorley of Providence Road Baptist Church advocating from the pulpit for rounding up all gays and lesbians and imprisoning them behind an electrified fence.

A budget framework that guts programs aimed at helping the poorest of poor but heaps tax breaks and rewards on only the richest Americans.  Does that sound like a budget that follows Catholic social teaching?
